Award Flight Assist FAQ’s

Who can use this service?
Award Flight Assist is available to all Frequent Flyer Solutions members! If you aren't already a member, simply create an account for free.
How does it work?
We will contact you within 24 hours of requesting a quote with the final price and a link to complete the payment. After completing the payment, you will be asked to fill out a detailed questionnaire about your trip. Within 3 business days of completing this questionnaire, we will send you a detailed report outlining available award flights that suit your needs, and instructions on how to book.
Can you make the booking on my behalf?
We will show you exactly what to book, and provide detailed instructions on how to book it. However, we are unable to book award flights on your behalf.
My trip is more than a year away. Should I use the service now?
Most airlines release award seats 11-12 months in advance. If your trip is more than 12 months away, you may still use the service. We will provide you with a "booking strategy" that explains which flights to book, and an "action plan" that explains exactly when to book in order to maximise your chances of getting the flights you want. However, you may also wish to wait until the seats are released for booking. That way we’ll be able to check real-time award availability.
How long will it take for you to find suitable award flights?
Once you have requested a quote, we will generally respond within 24 hours. Then, after the payment and second questionnaire have been completed, we will generally be in touch within 3 business days with information on suitable flights.
Is there a maximum number of passengers?
Due to the nature of award bookings, it can be very difficult to find award seats for multiple passengers on the same flight. For this reason, we have capped the number of passengers per request at 4. If you would like to use points to book flights for more than 4 passengers, you may still request a quote. However, please understand that we may not be able to find award seats for all passengers on the same flight.
Can I use this service to book flights using credit card rewards points, or combine points in multiple frequent flyer rewards programs?
Absolutely. Just let us know exactly how many points you have available in each program. We can determine the best program/s to use.
What happens if you can't find any award flights?
All quote requests are assessed by a member of our team, and we will not request payment if we do not believe we will be able to find any flights. In the unlikely event that you pay for the service and we are unable to find any flights that match the criteria in your quote request, you will receive a full refund. However, we are unable to provide a refund if we do find a suitable flight/s and you choose not to book it.
Will I have access to follow-up support?
Yes. While we believe our report is complete and comprehensive, we do understand that things change. We are happy to provide email support for minor changes in your plans at no additional cost. But we do reserve the right to charge an additional fee if we believe that the changes are not minor and require more of our time to address.
Do you offer a flight search assistance service for regular, paid airfares?
Unfortunately, our service is currently limited to award flights.
Why do I need to fill out two questionnaires?
The first questionnaire helps us to assess whether or not we can help you, and to calculate an accurate quote. The second questionnaire is to be completed after payment. It contains much more detailed questions, which are necessary to help us to tailor our search to your unique criteria.
