Frequent Flyer Training Updates
Here are some of the recent changes to loyalty programs and new updates we’ve made to the Frequent Flyer Solutions training over the past month, as of May 2022.
As a reminder, Business & First Class members enjoy unlimited access to the Frequent Flyer Solutions training program. If you’re a Premium Economy or Economy member, you can access the first unit of every course for free or upgrade your membership to gain full access!
New Virgin Australia Business Flyer program
Virgin Australia has rebranded its former Accelerate loyalty program for small-to-medium businesses as “Virgin Australia Business Flyer”. The new program is more accessible and comes with some new benefits, including the ability for businesses to earn Velocity points and membership tiers. New IHG One Rewards loyalty program
IHG Hotels & Resorts has rebranded and relaunched its loyalty program as well, with IHG Rewards becoming IHG One Rewards. There are no changes to the way IHG points are redeemed, but there have been significant changes to status tier qualification requirements & benefits. Westpac & St George axe Malaysia Airlines Enrich transfers
It’s no longer possible to transfer Westpac Altitude or St George Amplify Rewards points to the Malaysia Airlines Enrich program. Updated Unit 3.2.2 (Complete Overview of Credit Card Programs).
International travel restriction updates
The Australian government has relaxed international travel restrictions, with pre-departure COVID-19 tests no longer required to fly to Australia. Unvaccinated Australians can also now leave the country without permission, among other changes. Updated Unit 10.2.7 (Travel in a Post-COVID World).
Updates to credit card sign-up offers
We continuously update the Credit Card Master List in Unit 3.2.4 (Choosing a Credit Card), as well as the current Australian credit card sign-up offers in Unit 3.3.1 (Bonus Sign-up Points), at the start of every month. This was last updated on 5 May 2022.
