Frequent Flyer Training Updates
Here are some of the recent changes to loyalty programs and new updates we’ve made to the Frequent Flyer Solutions training over the past month, as of February 2023.
As a reminder, Business & First Class members enjoy unlimited access to the Frequent Flyer Solutions training program. If you’re a Premium Economy or Economy member, you can access the first unit of every course for free or upgrade your membership to gain full access!
You can now redeem Aeroplan points on Emirates
Air Canada’s Aeroplan program has added Emirates as a partner. You can now redeem Aeroplan points for Emirates flights, without paying any fuel surcharges – including in First Class. However, a separate Aeroplan award chart applies for redemptions that include Emirates flights. Updated Unit 4.2.6 (Air Canada Aeroplan).
Redeem British Airways Avios on Fiji Airways
British Airways Executive Club Avios can now be redeemed for Fiji Airways flights. Updated Unit 4.2.8 (British Airways Executive Club).
New status credit runs
We’ve updated our lists of Qantas Frequent Flyer and Velocity Frequent Flyer status runs in Unit 8.1.2 (Status Runs).
Citi Rewards & other credit card programs end Emirates Skywards transfers
As of 31 January 2023, it is no longer possible to transfer Citi Rewards, Diners Club Rewards or Suncorp Rewards points to Emirates Skywards. Updated Unit 3.2.2 (Complete Overview of Credit Card Programs).
We’ve also added the new Star Alliance Rewards program to the credit card points transfer matrix featured in this unit.
28 Degrees Mastercard changes
The Latitude 28 Degrees Global Platinum Mastercard has removed the Boingo wifi hotspot benefit, replacing it with Flexiroam data roaming. The interest rate on this credit card has also increased. Updated Unit 10.1.1 (Travel Money, Debit & Credit Cards).
Updates to credit card sign-up offers
We continuously update the Credit Card Master List in Unit 3.2.4 (Choosing a Credit Card), as well as the current Australian credit card sign-up offers in Unit 3.3.1 (Bonus Sign-up Points), at the start of every month. This was last updated on 6 February 2023.
