Course 2: Frequent Flyer Programs
Frequent flyer programs are the key to travelling better, for less! Course 2 takes a detailed look at our two local frequent flyer programs - Qantas Frequent Flyer and Virgin Australia Velocity. You'll learn all about how these programs work including earning points, redeeming points and how to earn elite status.
Qantas and Velocity Frequent Flyer are good, but they are not your only options! This course also explains how Australians can take advantage of 11 key international frequent flyer programs, including Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and American Airlines AAdvantage. By the end of this course, you'll be able to decide which frequent flyer programs are best for you. View Course →
Course 3: Credit Cards
Credit cards are the key to maximising your frequent flyer points! They make it easy to earn hundreds of thousands of points each year - without flying, and for very little outlay! In particular, credit card sign-up bonuses are one of the easiest and cheapest ways to earn large amounts of points. You can then redeem those points for (almost) free flights and upgrades!
This course compares and analyses Australia's credit cards and their rewards programs. It also explores strategies to maximise the number of points earned - including how to earn points for paying tax and home loans. View Course →
Course 4: Buy Points
This course explains how to fly in Business and First Class for just a fraction of the price! The trick is to buy frequent flyer points, then to find the "sweet spots" to redeem the points for maximum value. Course 4, "Buy Points", will show you how to do this with 7 overseas frequent flyer programs. You'll learn how to buy points, how to redeem the points and where the value lies.
Buying points can make sense where the cost of the points is lower than the value of the reward for which they are redeemed. For example, you could buy $500 worth of points and redeem them for a Business Class flight worth over $2,000!
If you happen to have a very high credit card spend, you may have more points than you know what to do with. For everyone else, buying points is a cost-effective way to boost your frequent flyer point balance. View Course →

It's not just airlines that have loyalty programs. Hotels, supermarkets and rental car companies also offer benefits to loyal (and in some cases, disloyal) customers. Hotel loyalty programs reward frequent stayers with room upgrades, lounge access, complimentary breakfast, free nights and all sorts of other benefits. There are also many points to be gained by maximising Flybuys or Woolworths Rewards points.
